Thomas Wieck’s journey in the world of music began in the vibrant city of Berlin, Germany, where he was born. Surrounded by a family deeply immersed in the arts, his father, a talented violinist in the Radio Orchestra, and his mother, a skilled painter, cultivated an environment of creativity and expression.
His musical inclinations were nurtured within the walls of his home, where he was exposed to the harmonious sounds of his father’s string quartet rehearsing. These early encounters with music shaped his destiny.

Thomas embarked on a formal education in music, commencing his studies under the guidance of Professor of Cello at the Musik High School in Berlin. His passion for the cello grew stronger as he continued his tutelage with the Solo-Cellist of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. He honed his skills further through master classes with the renowned Prof. André Navarra at the Musikalademie in Detmold. His dedication to the craft led him to partake in courses taught by luminaries in the field, including Prof. A. Janeiro, Gregor Piatigorski, János Starker, and Heinrich Schiff.

Thomas Wieck’s illustrious career is a testament to his unwavering commitment to music. He has not only excelled as a teacher, imparting his knowledge and passion to aspiring musicians, but also as a chamber musician, collaborating with fellow artists to create interesting compositions. Today, he has made his mark as a soloist, gracing audiences with captivating and unforgettable performances.
