Smit cleared his ATCL diploma with distinction in 2019. He has since then extensively performed with Ballet schools, String and Choral Ensembles (Mehli Mehta Foundation, Stop Gaps Stuti, Bombay Chamber Orchestra) and Soloists in Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore, London and Prague.

The winner of ConBrio National Piano Competition(2022), Smit has received mentorship through Mark Troop, Delia Varga, Parvesh Java, Yuri Ananiev, Sergio de Simone, Samantha Ward and Maciej Ragina through various masterclasses. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and considers himself very lucky to have the privilege of a ‘Classical’ life.
