Passionate about music from a very early age, Mitali Saraf started learning the piano at the age of 7. throughout school she participated in and won awards for her performances in interschool competitions. In 2010, she joined the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance and studied under professor Fali Pavri. On successful completion of the course she went on to study a Masters in Piano performance with the help of a scholarship from the same institute. During her time there she has participated in chamber competitions, Lieder competitions and concerto competitions. She was highly commended for the Ian D Watt competition along with her duo partner. She has played with the BBC SSO on an apprenticeship scheme organized between the orchestra and the RCS. She has performed all over Scotland and other parts of Europe.

Being back in India since the completion of her course in 2016, she has been a freelance musician, performing all over India and abroad. She joined the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation faculty as an accompanist in August 2017.
